English Grammar ಪಾಠ 10: Interrogative, Possessive, Distributive and Proper Adjective

1. Interrogative Adjective (ಪ್ರಶ್ನಾರ್ಥಕ ವಿಶೇಷಣ)

Used to ask questions.

Example :

1.Which book do you want?

  ನಿನಗೆ ಯಾವ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಬೇಕು?

2. Possessive Adjective (ಸ್ವಾಮ್ಯವಾಚಕ ವಿಶೇಷಣ)

Shows possession (ownership).

Example :

1.This is my bag.

 ಇದು ನನ್ನ ಚೀಲ.

3. Distributive Adjective (ವಿಭಾಗವಾಚಕ ವಿಶೇಷಣ)

Refers to each one separately.

Example:

1.Each student got a prize.

  ಪ್ರತಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗೂ ಬಹುಮಾನ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತು.

4. Proper Adjective (ನಾಮವಾಚಕ ವಿಶೇಷಣ)

Formed from proper nouns.

Example:

1.I like Indian food.

  ನನಗೆ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಆಹಾರ ಇಷ್ಟ.

Simple we remember points

Adjective = describes a noun

(ನಾಮಪದವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುವ ಪದ)

Types =

Quality, Quantity, Number, Demonstrative, Interrogative, Possessive, Distributive, Proper……..
